Enter the system by double clicking on the IRIS OPAC link. This brings you to the welcome screen, which is the main entry point. The IRIS library catalogues will already be selected for searching, but if you wish, you can select/deselect catalogues, including non IRIS options, such as the British Library, COPAC and the Library of Congress, from the list provided under the bookshelf icon. Extensive online help is available by clicking on the help link, i.e. the ? graphic, available from within any screen in IRIS OPAC.
Interlibrary loan and other staff who have access to the item order side of the system should enter their user id and password when using the system for lending or document delivery purposes. At the moment, item order and electronic document supply are in test mode only. A pilot scheme is in operation to test the system functionality.
